Roadmap and scope
The demo is the launch. It carries no smart contracts, no audit and no custody risk, and its liquidations still feed the content loop. Real collateral is a later phase with its own bar.
Phases
| Phase | What | Status |
|---|---|---|
| 0 · Feasibility | Audit what the data source exposes, at what granularity and rate limits, and whether the index can be computed as specified. | done; adapter to be pinned to live payloads once a key exists |
| 1 · Landing | Landing page with live trader board and waitlist. | done |
| 2 · Index live | Keeper, oracle, transparency pages, trader market pages with live charts. | done, on the synthetic feed until a key is configured |
| 3 · Demo trading | Full terminal on paper money, all markets, tiers, funding, liquidations, demo leaderboard, profiles and share cards. | done |
| 4 · Growth, then live money | Liquidation bot, roster expansion, opt-in listing with rev share, then live collateral. | bot sink and listing requests done; live collateral not started |
Not in v1
- No order book. Price discovery is a vAMM; a book is a v2 candidate if volume justifies it.
- No cross margin. Every position is isolated.
- No trader baskets or indices of traders.
- No mobile app. The terminal is a desktop-first web app that works on a phone.
- No advice. Perps are volatile. Traders are worse.
What going live takes
A real data key and the adapter pinned to real payloads; a long-lived host with a persistent store; signed identities so the leaderboard cannot be farmed; rate limits and monitoring. That is the demo, public and durable. Live money adds a collateral vault and settlement contracts or a custodial venue, redundant keepers signing the index, the trader's own-address exclusion, an audit, and counsel on offering perpetuals on named people. The demo leaderboard doubles as the whitelist for that day.
Open decisions
Owned by the founder: the chain for live money (decided: Robinhood Chain, with Solana kept as the alternative build; nothing in demo depends on it), the rev share number, the demo-to-live trigger (demo user count, weeks of clean index data, audit), token or no token, the domain, the relationship with the fomo team, and final tickers for the ten roster markets. See Manipulation defences for the live-only items.
