What Fomoliquid is

On fomo you can copy a trader or ignore him. On Fomoliquid you trade the trader himself. Every listed fomo trader is a perpetual futures market whose index is that trader's performance, read live from public data. His PnL goes up, longs profit. It goes down, shorts profit. Continuous, no expiry, standard perp mechanics.

The idea

Traders are already the meta. People hold opinions about the trader, not just about the coins he is in, and today there is no instrument for that opinion. Fomoliquid turns each listed trader into a market with a mark price, an index price, hourly funding, isolated margin and liquidations. Shorting a famous trader is an instrument that exists nowhere else.

One line for the team: a perpetuals venue where the tickers are people.

Why it works

  • The oracle already exists. fomo publishes live positions, trades and PnL per account, timestamped. Fomoliquid reads it, turns it into a rolling return on the capital the trader actually has at risk, and publishes every input of every update.
  • The instrument is honest. The index is percent return on deployed capital over a rolling week, not account balance. Balance can be gamed with deposits and withdrawals. Return on capital in positions cannot.
  • Liquidations are the content loop. Every liquidation goes to a public feed and a bot, with the market, the side and the size and nothing about who. “Unipcs longs just got wiped” markets itself.

Where the product is

Two venues trade the same index. Every visitor starts on the demo: a paper account with $100,000, no sign-in, all ten markets, real indexes, funding, tiers and liquidations exactly as on the live venue. Press Live in the terminal's top bar and sign in with a wallet to trade the same markets in USDG on Robinhood Chain, with deposits from your wallet and withdrawals back to it. See The live venue.

Data source

Until a fomo data key is configured, the deployment computes its indexes from a deterministic synthetic feed that exercises every code path. Every screen that shows an index says which feed it is on. See Data and failure modes.
